July 12, 2004CONSUMER NEWS â€” Ford announces three separate recalls for some of its most popular models. 171,000 vehicles are affected.
The largest group includes thousands of 2003 Excursion SUV's and F-Series pickup trucks. They may have problems with battery connectors.
Ford is also recalling many 2003 Crown Victorias and Lincoln Towncars, as well as 2004 Tauruses, Thunderbirds and Mercury Sables -- all for a variety of defects.
Ford says there have been no injuries linked to any of the defects.
