July 19, 2004First of all, find out if there are mounting holes behind them first. Chevy's and GMCs do NOT have holes, but most Fords do.
If you don't have holes, then use a hair dryer/heat gun to warm up the glue. Then use a piece of fishing line or twine to 'saw' behind the emblems. To get the residual glue off, use elbow grease, and goo-gone or WD40.

July 19, 2004Be extra careful with the heat gun. They get very hot and can easily damage your paint.
Also don't work on one spot to long move around and give yourself plenty of time. It is a long slow process. But when done with care you will get the effect your looking for.

July 19, 2004I had a heat gun but wasn't sure so I used a hairdryer. I used a plastic putty knife and the Goo Gone. Good luck and let's see the pics of the results. Later, Trent
July 19, 2004Plastic putty knife + QD spray = good; dental floss = bad.
For me anyway - I gave up on the dental floss pretty quickly.
